The Lir Academy is Ireland’s National Academy of Dramatic Art at Trinity College Dublin offering a range of postgraduate, undergraduate and short courses in theatre related subjects.
We partnered with the college to redesign their full site and close a gap in the student application process. Since launch early 2020, we have continued to develop the website for The Lir, building new features on an almost monthly basis and providing a comprehensive support plan serving multiple departments within Trinity College.
The UX Design Process
Our strategy for the redesign was simple. "Put the student first". With this in mind, we shared a wide range of initial concepts for the website, from experimental to expected, finally settling on a mixture of both.
Lacking from their previous website was the ability for students to apply for courses online. We put together a student application user experience strategy, which took their ideal student and dissected how they might apply for a course through the new website. With that in mind, we build from the ground up, The Lir's perfect application feature which also allows online payments, pay in installments, booking accommodation, etc...
